The child is said to be an ‘amāna’, trust, and has been entrusted by Allāh to his family. An amāna is a trust granted to someone to look after it until the rightful owner wants it back. We say ‘we are from Allāh and to Him we will return’ meaning that He is our owner and master. The child is entrusted to his or her parents to be looked after and cared for. (Imam Abdullah Ba Saudan)

Imam al-Ghazali

The children’s books of the Ghazali project bring the teachings from the Ihya Ulum iddin of Imam al Ghazali to life for children, promoting a deep connection to the core principles of Islam, its philosophy and it’s purpose. There is a strong focus an reflection, spiritual understanding and self-correction. These aspects make the project unique and distinct from most other Islamic studies courses for children, both in content and quality.

What our students say...

I am always going to follow Imam al Ghazali's example and other good peoples example, because if I do I will not only do well in this in this life but also the next.
Aminah
Age 8
I learnt that if you don't argue then you can get to heaven.
Adam
Age 6
After reading only the first few pages of the Book of Knowledge, I think of myself as a stronger person.... I think this book has polished my heart... The many stories and examples included can influence a persons actions... The examples of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) lead us to try and mimic the actions and have a greater understanding of him.

What parents say....

As a parent I have been privileged to access the Ghazali Project classes for parents which run parallel to the children’s classes.  The classes gave me great exposure to the works of Imam Ghazali and allowed me to open up and continue discussions at home.  This reinforced and consolidated the classroom learning and enabled us to adopt the great teachings of Imam Ghazali into our everyday lives.

The inspirational teachers have done a wonderful job in breaking down often difficult concepts and ideas according to the children’s understanding.

Asia A

I have attended the Ghazali Project parent classes at the Hub Club for a number of years.  This programme is really unique in the way parents and pupils are nurtured and educated together.

The teachers are receptive and very able to impart these teachings in an easy to understand way, with a lot of interesting discussion along the way!  The Ghazali project textbooks are beautiful books in themselves – as a family there is a lot of excitement around attending the Hub Club and we discuss what we have learnt at home.  This has really helped make character and spiritual development an open and joint endeavour for us at home.
